The outdoor pool especially is covered with leaves, dead bugs, plasters (cringe) and the other day there was even a packet of McCoy crisps!!! (Flame grilled steak flavour if you're interested). However, the service here is awful and I don't believe the management/staff know the meaning of the word hygiene. I use Pools on the Park as it is within a few minutes from my house so it is very convenient. I haven't been back I feel a bit put off by this, maybe I'll try the gym. I am surprised how small the children's pool is good for very first timers but if you had a child who can swim but not that far or even a adult for that matter there's no in between, it's beginners in the baby pool (I might add I saw a sign that said your not allowed in without a child, but I did go in and nobody said anything) or in the big pool you do lengths in the real deep water in swimming lanes so you can't do a width of the big pool, for a non confident swimmer it's not great, I'm not the best swimmer but I gave it a go in the lane nearest the side of the pool. The children's swimming lessons do clash with normal swimming and the pool is quite old fashioned but I found it retro and reminded me of an old swimming baths I went to as a child. I paid £10 for ten sessions, I do agree on the price, had I not got this voucher I would find it expensive, but I have to say I found the staff quite friendly & helpful towards me.
